With less than two weeks to go to the deadline for entries to An Post Rás na mBan, teams from Luxembourg, German and France have confirmed their participation in Ireland’s premier women’s stage race.

The Luxembourg national squad are bringing a strong team headed by national elite road race champion Christine Marjerus who finished 21st in the road race at the Olympics in London last summer. Marjerus will be supported by Chantal Hoffman, Nathalie Lambourelle, Laurence Thill and Lara Carier in a squad managed by Romain Rehlinger.

Germany’s representatives are Team Bike-Aid.de led by former Tour of Malta winner and Rás na mBan regular visitor Desiree Schuler. She’ll be accompanied by Sonja Rau, Martine Licker, Janina Brückner and one other unnamed rider in a team directed by Matthias Schnapka.

The French team, DN Bretagne features Nathalie Jeuland who guested with the Orwell Wheelers team at Rás na mBan in 2011. Jeuland’s team mates include French pursuit champion and Under 23 time trial championship fourth place finisher Coralie Demay, and French Junior National Cup leader Solène Vinsot with two other riders to be confirmed.
